Client of weight loss center dies after taking recommended dietary supplements
The plaintiffs—the family of a 42-year-old woman who died of liver failure—alleged that the supplements were defective and unreasonably dangerous and that the company that ran the weight loss center failed to warn of the risk. The parties settled for $700,000. Schur v. L.A. Weight Loss Centers, Inc.
